Yusuf is a native of Vancouver who first obtained his Bachelor of Life Sciences from the University of British Columbia. Then went on to complete his Master of Physiotherapy from the University of Toronto. Yusuf is fluent in English and Mandarin. While in Toronto, he had a variety of experiences in inpatient and outpatient departments in several teaching hospitals including Toronto Rehabilitation Hospital and Toronto General Hospital.
After graduating, Yusuf returned home to Vancouver where he has worked in a variety of settings including hospitals, long-term care, and private practice sports clinic. Yusuf is dedicated to post-graduate training and is currently a Level 2 manual therapist trained with the Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative therapist, vestibular rehabilitation training, and is currently completing dry needling training with Acupuncture Canada.
Yusuf’s treatment plan includes a detailed assessment to devise an individualized treatment plan including manual therapy (joint adjustments/active release technique), electrophysical modalities, and exercise prescription. Combining these methods, he practices physiotherapy with compassion to deliver person-centered care. Outside the clinic, Yusuf enjoys basketball, hiking, weight-lifting, and traveling.
