Jennifer is a Registered Physiotherapist with a passion for helping people to live an active and healthy lifestyle. She was first exposed to Physiotherapy as a young athlete and an interest in injury prevention and helping people to return to their activities following an injury led to a rewarding career focus. Jennifer has been a member of the Kitsilano community since 2010 and graduated with a Master of Physical Therapy degree from UBC in 2012. She also received a Bachelor of Science degree (with honours) in Kinesiology from the University of Western Ontario. In addition, she has her Orthopaedic Manual Therapy Level 1 Certification from the Canadian Physiotherapy Association Orthopaedic Division, of which she is also a member. Eager to pursue further continuing education, she is currently enrolled in the AFCI Acupuncture Education Program.
In order to facilitate the achievement of each client’s specific goals, Jennifer uses a range of approaches including manual therapy, therapeutic modalities, muscle energy techniques, movement re-education, strengthening, conditioning and functional exercise. This past summer, she completed her first half-marathon and hopes it will be one of many.
