Evan graduated from the University of Western Ontario with an Honours degree in Kinesiology. He is a practicing Kinesiologist in good standing with the BC Association of Kinesiologists, and a certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Evan has worked with a diverse range of individuals in his rehabilitation and performance training experience. He has had the opportunity to work alongside recreational athletes, national-level athletes, general population, and youth in clinical and performance settings.
Evan prescribes exercise with a client-centered approach to help individuals surpass their baseline strength and movement capacities. He believes in empowering his clients by helping them reframe their beliefs about their pain experience; allowing them to recognize that their body is robust and adaptable to change when given the appropriate levels of progressive exercise stimulus. His goal as a kinesiologist is to help his clients take an active role in their rehabilitation to develop a sense of autonomy during injury management and in the pursuit of their strength and movement goals.
In his free time, Evan enjoys playing hockey, hiking, mountain biking, and strength training.
